About:"Living Up to Expectations" is this year's theme. It seems everyone has to meet certain expectations as they go through life. Parents have expectations of their children. Spouses have expectations of one another. Employers and employees come to the job situation with certain expectations. We may even have expectations of ourselves and others. However, when you get right down to it, the expectations that we hold over one another as we move through life are really nothing more than us holding people to our standards!

There really is no life that is totally free of expectations. Everyone has some preconceived notions on our behaviours, the careers we choose, our choice of friends and even spouses, and just living out life in general. Even God has placed expectations on His people.

So, whose expectations do we live up to? How well do we live up to these expectations? How do we deal with unrealistic expectations? How does our faith help us to handle them? Tom Cooper and his son, Jonathan, will be sharing their perspectives on the expectations in their lives at the upcoming Project Contempo Forum.
